Westlife-Boyzone supergroup Boyzlife announce British-Irish tour

IT IS the answer to the prayers of boyband fans all across Britain and Ireland - Boyzone and Westlife singers will tour together.

Boyzlife has been formed but unfortunately, all nine members will not be taking to the stage just yet.

Former Westlife member Brian McFadden will join Boyzone's Keith Duffy to tour as a duo - with their first gig together taking place in London this October.

"Brian and I have been talking about this for a while so it’s really exciting to finally be able to reveal Boyzlife," said Duffy.

"We can’t wait to get out on the road and reconnect with our fans, taking a trip down memory lane."

While the news is bittersweet for those who wanted to see the pair joined by their former bandmates Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch, the full line-up may sign up yet.

"We all had a chat [at Ronan Keating's wedding last year ], the lads. We said it would be amazing. Not even just performing together, but can you imagine the craic?" McFadden revealed.

"Nine of us Irish lads on a tour bus together, going round the world together. It would be absolutely carnage. We all get on so well so you never know.

"We could have so much fun on tour. We could end up adding more people to the next one. Right now this is about me and Keith but the door is always open."

The news comes just weeks after Ronan Keating, Boyzone's lead singer, said that a supergroup would be fun.

Between the two bands, they have 23 number one singles, and Boyzlife plan on performing a selection of their chart-toppers for fans.

The Boyzlife tour kicks off on October 16 in London, with 12 dates planned. Tickets go on sale at 9.30am on March 8.
