Two Irish pubs named as some of the best cocktail bars in Europe

YOU'RE ALWAYS guaranteed an abundance of good pints in Ireland, but where should you go if you're feeling a bit fancy?

Thankfully, there's no need to go on a nationwide bar crawl to find the best cocktail-- no matter how fun that sounds-- because international travel magazine Big 7 Travel have found them for us.

One of the world's leading travel companies, Big 7 Travel are a fan of Ireland-- Irish companies made the list for the best burgers in Europe, Dublin was decided to be one of the best cities in the world for a winter getaway, Belfast was named as one of the best places on the planet that people should visit in the next decade, and the Kingdom of Kerry was listed as one of the most 'instagrammable' spots in the world.

Now the outlet have revealed their list of the 50 Best Cocktail Bars in Europe, and not one but two Dublin-based bars have made the list.

City centre '9 Below' bar clinched the 24th spot for its "beautifully designed space" which has "four spacious rooms to have a merry time with your loved ones and friends.

"If you’re looking for a place in Dublin to take out your special someone," the outlet's review states, "this might be it".

Big 7 Travel named the DTF cocktail as a must-try-- made with Absolut Elyx Vodka, Passionfruit Cordial, Lemon, Vanilla and Egg Whites, it sounds like it could become our new favourite.

Grafton Street's speakeasy prohibition bar 'The Bling Pig' won the 16th spot in the list, with Big 7 applauding the "authentic prohibition era experience" and excellent bartenders.

The outlet then advises readers on how to get into the Blind Pig's secret sister bar, 'The Little Pig', calling it "even more of a gem"-- which we think should count as a third entry in the list of the best cocktail bars!

It might be too early in the day for it to be acceptable to be craving a cocktail, but give a read through Big 7 Travel's full list here and we guarantee you'll be feeling the same.

In the meantime, we'll be planning a trip to Dublin.
