EasyJet pilots caught on camera playing Snapchat games on flight full of passengers at 37,000ft

AN easyJet captain and his co-pilot have been filmed dancing in the cockpit and playing games on Snapchat at 37,000 feet.

Captain Michel Castellucci posted the clip to his social media account 'pilot_flyingnut' on Thursday, after the Paris-Madrid flight landed the previous day.

In the footage, his co=pilot can be seen dancing with a cartoon owl avatar generated by the app.

Mr Castellucci, who regularly pilots flights to and from London, captioned the video: “Dancing first officer in cruise doing paperwork.”

The captain also posted a photo showing him posing with bear features superimposed on his face.

Neither of the two pilots appeared to be looking at the cockpit controls during their antics.

Angry social media users have slammed the "unprofessional" behaviour of the men.

One wrote: "So dangerous. It only takes a second for things to go wrong!"

Another added: "I can't use my phone during takeoff but pilots can use Snapchat while actually driving the plane. Fair."

The video was viewed over 6,000 times before it appeared to be removed from Mr Castellucci's social media account.

An easyJet spokesman said: “Whilst at no point was the safety of the passengers compromised, this falls short of the high standards easyJet expects of its pilots.

“We will speak to the pilots involved.”
