OVER one hundred flights have been grounded today across Ireland's airports due to Storm Ophelia.
Bus, tram and rail services have also been severely disrupted as Ophelia makes her way across the country.
Irish Ferries and Stena Line have also cancelled their services between Ireland and Britain.
Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock and both Belfast International and Belfast George Best have warned of widespread flight cancellations.
Aer Lingus, Ryanair, British Airways, Air France, CityJet, Emirates, Qatar Airways and KLM have all cancelled some services today and have contacted passengers directly in relation to flights which have been affected.
Dublin airport have said while the airport is open and operational, up to 130 flights arriving and departing have been cancelled later today due to the expected impact of storm Ophelia.
Shannon Airport said they will remain open but safety of our passengers and staff is their 'first priority.'
Amongst the flights cancelled from Shannon include the Aer Lingus flights to and from Edinburgh, Birmingham and two flights from Heathrow to Shannon with Aer Lingus.
Cork Airport have said they are open but many flights are cancelled.

Meanwhile at Knock airport, Ryanair flights to and from Liverpool, Stansted, Luton, and East Midlands have been cancelled, as well as FlyBe flights to and from Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Kerry Airport have said that the airport has closed and will reopen as normal tomorrow.

Belfast International said flights to and from Gatwick, Girona and Stansted have been cancelled.
Belfast George Best Airport have listed several flight cancellations on their website, which you can find here.
In a statement, Ryanair said: “We regret to advise customers that due to adverse weather expected in Ireland on 16th October, we have been forced to cancel the below flights.
“Unfortunately, further flight delays and cancellations are likely and customers are asked to please monitor this notice which will be updated throughout the day," the airline said.

Aer Lingus have said a number of flights are cancelled due to severe weather, and advised passengers to check their flight status here.
Elsewhere across Ireland tram, rail, and bus services have been disrupted.
Luas services across Dublin have also been suspended from 10am today and the electricity in overhead lines is being turned off.
Dublin Bus have also cancelled their services from 10am and Iarnród Éireann have said that there is severe disruption to all intercity services except Sligo and Rosslare.
