WHERE better to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of William Butler Yeats than at a special event being hosted at London’s City Hall on March 10.
The Irish Cultural Centre, in association with the Irish Embassy is holding a public lecture - The Fascination of What’s Difficult: W.B. Yeats and Irish History - with Professor Roy Foster.
One of Ireland’s best known historians, Roy Foster is Carroll Professor of Irish History at Hertford College, Oxford University and has written extensively on Irish history, politics and culture.
His much acclaimed two volume biography of Yeats was awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
