MANCHESTER UNITED forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has denied deliberately kicking Ireland captain Seamus Coleman to the head.
The Swedish striker scored in United’s 1-1 draw with Coleman’s Everton on Sunday, and the duo clashed in the 50th minute.
Ibrahimovic came down hard on Coleman and appeared to make contact with the Irishman’s head on his way to ground, but the charismatic 35-year-old denied any wrongdoing.
And the veteran – a blackbelt in taekwondo – says Coleman would have known about it had he actually meant to kick him to the head.
“I heard one of the commentators say I kicked someone in the head on purpose, but it was a 50-50 duel and he pulled me down,” Ibrahimovic told MUTV after the game.
“Trust me, if I want to kick someone in the head, I know how to kick someone in the head and make him fall asleep. That is the only thing I have to say."
