North London Shamrocks GAA club

The Shamrocks defeated Parnells’ senior team in the Tipperary Cup 0-17 to 0-6. Our next fixture is against St Kiernans on Saturday, April 11 at Montrose Park, at 4:30pm. The North London Shamrocks Senior and Youth clubs will be hosting their first Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser on Saturday, November 7 at the Camden Irish Centre.

The club has also launched their new website www.theshamrocks.co.uk.  Training currently takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at our winter training venue under floodlights at Saracens Amateur rugby club, Green Road, Southgate, N14 4AB.If you are located in North London and are interested in playing football then please contact either [email protected] or Paddy Madigan 07832 372186, Brian Conaghan 07954 421340 or Vinny Murphy 07956 499439.

Shalloe Pearses Club Notes

Membership for 2015 is now due and can be paid to Club Treasurer Kevin Murphy or Liam Moloney. The fee is £20 for the year.

Éire Óg

Training takes place in Downhills Park, N17 6AP on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.45pm. New players are welcome to join, please contact John Tierney on 07833 014014 for more details.

The Aisling Project who provide us with the use of their minibus on match days are running a raffle for two pairs of tickets worth £600 for the sold out Ireland v France Rugby World Cup match in Cardiff to raise funds for the Aisling Return to Ireland Project. The prize also includes overnight accommodation for the winners. In addition, there are two sets of tickets to the Ireland v Italy match in London on offer. Other prizes include: a week’s holiday in Ireland, courtesy of Trident Holiday Homes and Irish Ferries, four tickets to the Cheltenham November Race Meeting, courtesy of Avondale Construction, VIP tickets to the Aisling comedy benefit in November and tickets to see The Commitments at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End. Raffle tickets cost just £2 each or three for £5 and are being sold at a range of pubs across London. The draw will take place on Saturday, September 12.

Kilburn Gaels

We are always keen to recruit new hurlers and we can help you with accommodation and work contacts if you’ve just moved over from Ireland. Training is every Wednesday at 6.30pm and every Saturday at 1pm at Gladstone Park, Anson Road entrance. Players are welcome to attend a free trail, with helmets and hurls provided. Parnells Minor

Training takes place in Northwick Park on the following evenings: under 6/8/10s every Wednesday from 6.30pm, under 12/14s every Thursday from 6.30pm, under 16s every Tuesday from 7pm.

Please remember gum shields and water and can parents please note the new parking restrictions. Anyone available to help set up and dismantle for these sessions would be greatly appreciated. The first blitz is being held at Northwick Park on April 25 at 12pm for under 6/ 8/10s.
