AS IF our success at Cheltenham Festival wasn’t encouraging enough, this young enthusiast suggests the future is bright for Irish racing.
Festival fever gripped the Irish public last week thanks in large to the deadly double act of Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh, with the nation equalling its previous best of 14 winners at this year’s event.
And less than a week after the Festival reached its climax at the Gold Cup, a young Irish whippersnapper has been filmed at famed racecourse Fairyhouse imitating his heroes.
Donning a helmet and classic green and gold silk, watch the youngster take off and set the pace for what will hopefully become a long and fruitful career.
We wonder if this young chap will be back @fairyhouse to greet @BarryJGeraghty during the Easter Festival. https://t.co/rRAebGLRYi
