THE HERO Open at St Andrews started today with a host of Irish golfers in attendance.
Preparation began yesterday for the Par 72 and one of the highlights doing the rounds on social media is a very awkward shot by Ireland's Paul Dunne.
A video posted by the DP World Tour's official account showcased a clip of Dunne atop of a wall looking to chip the ball onto the green in the distance.

To Dunne's credit he managed to get the golf ball over the ball and onto the green, but it's fair to say that he won't want to hit a shot like that again.
The prize money for the victor this weekend is €1,750,000, and Dunne will be looking to win his first event since British Masters in 2017, where we won by three shots over Rory McIlroy.
