WATCH: The Paddy Power advert deemed too rude for TV

IRISH bookmakers Paddy Power have released a new advert that was deemed too rude for TV via their YouTube channel.

The advert celebrates the ease at which customers can now place a bet via their new mobile app, jokingly claiming punters can even place wagers without taking their phones out of their pockets.

The advert, titled ‘Pocket Jostle’, goes on to depict male users of the app trying to do just that, complete with lewd commentary, which was considered too adult for national broadcasters to air.

A Paddy Power spokesperson said: "We acknowledge it’s a bit close to the bone, but the tongue-in-cheek metaphor of knocking a quickie out in your pocket was just too good not to share.

"We showed the idea to our customers and they thought it was very funny and very relevant, so we decided to share the joke.”
