COULD THIS possibly be the worst miss in GAA that you have ever seen in your life.
Nobody wants to experience the agony of missing an open goal, when it's easier to slot home from an opportunity impossible to miss. One Wexford club star felt this pain in abudance with many eyes watching.
Crossabeg Ballymurn took on Naomh Eanna, Conor Devereux got on the end of a dangerous ball into the box and as the forward pounced on the breaking ball and cut across the box, the goalkeeper is wrongfooted leaving Devereux with an empty net a meter or so from the line.
He'd done the hard part. The commentator's groan says it all.
Is this the best miss you've ever seen on a Gaelic football field? 🤣

Suddenly the crossbar was rattled from an open goal. It rebounded well back beyond him
Devereux captained his club to the Wexford Intermediate championship the following week, so it's not all bad
