THE internet has been awash with videos of Republic of Ireland fans upholding their solid reputation abroad at Euro 2016, but one recognisable Northern Ireland fan may well have trumped the lot of them with his own video filmed back home.
Actor Charlie Lawson, better known as Jim McDonald from Coronation Street, was clearly in celebratory mood following Northern Ireland’s impressive 2-0 win over Ukraine on Thursday, and quite rightly so.
The win was Northern Ireland’s first in a major tournament in 30 years with their first ever goals scored at a European Championships, and it means they’re still in with a shout of making it out of Group C.
'Jim' clearly thinks they’re in with a great chance of making the last 16, if this footage he posted on Twitter is anything to go by.
