DERRY CITY ARE set to play Latvian side Riga FC in the first-round qualifier for the Europa Conference League at 7.45 today.
A lot of football clubs nowadays poke fun at other clubs and with Riga heading to the Brandywell, they decided to post a controversial tweet tagging Derry City into the post.
The tweet read: ' A trip to Northern Ireland.' Hey @derrycityfc.
The post also contained a Union Jack Emoji, which promoted a quick reply from the League of Ireland side.
Derry City responded with 'Welcome to Ireland,' and their own emoji of the tricolour.

Derry City, Twitter account then wrote: “Uh oh, this is gone too”.
They then re-posted the original video and included the tricolour in their post.
Social media users applauded Derry for correcting the Latvian side on their poor knowledge of history and geography.
One user said: They’re now the 2nd best club in Ireland in my books
While another wanted a pay increase for the admin of the site
'Whoever is in charge of @derrycityfc twitter page needs a pay raise and quick', another said.
