BOYZONE star Ronan Keating amazed onlookers with a lengthy putt at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Thursday.
Turning out as a guest competitor in a professional-amateur pairing alongside Lee Westwood, Keating saved his best effort to last with a superb putt from over 30 yards on the 18th hole at Carnoustie, Scotland.
“It's incredible, but nerve-wracking at the same time,” Keating told tournament broadcasters Sky Sports after his round.
"So many people are to see the pros play, but for us amateurs the pressure is on. One of the best experiences I've ever had on the golf course was today. It has just been amazing, the weather has been perfect.”
To increase interest in the competition, the promotors often invite celebrities or former sports stars to compete at the annual event, with Nigel Mansell, Ian Botham and Gary Lineker among past amateur players to have competed.
Keating and Westwood posted a combined score of -64, leaving them eight under par after Day One. They are bidding to improve on that on Friday and you can follow their progress via the pro-am leaderboard here.
