BBC BREAKFAST presenter Mike Bushell has been put through his paces by Oisín CLG after taking part in a Gaelic football training session with the Manchester club.
Bushell was sampling Ireland’s national game for his Saturday morning slot, where he regularly gets thrown in at the deep end to try out different sports with the aim of showing there is an activity out there for everyone.
So far he has tried out around 400 different sports and activities – a world record – but he was given a seriously testing time by Oisíns, even having to ask the other players to freeze to allow him to score!
Drawing comparisons with the likes of soccer, rugby and basketball, he explained: “The hardest thing is remembering what to do though, there’s so many different sports and skills to think of!”
