THE most entertaining race at Limerick Racecourse on Thursday night didn’t even involve a horse.
Limerick GAA staged their Club Limerick Raceday at the track, with members of local clubs taking part in a hilarious 800 metre dash.
Mark Carmody of Bruff GAA took the honours, but only after the race’s long-standing leader took a comical fall with the finish line approaching.
Carmody took full advantage to earn €500 for his GAA club and a €100 bonus for himself. Watch the hilarity unfold in the video below.
