UFC's Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz pre-fight press conference turns nasty as they fling bottles at each other

CONOR McGregor and Nate Diaz exchanged insults at a UFC press conference in Las Vegas yesterday that turned nasty.

McGregor was a half hour late for the scheduled press conference which riled up Diaz and his team.

As a result Diaz and his team walked out of the press conference, while exchanging insults with McGregor.

The initial exchange is here:

As Diaz was about to exit the arena he threw a bottle at one of McGregor's team.

In retaliation McGregor stood up and swore at his opponent, throwing bottles back in return.

UFC president Dana White then cut the press conference short and McGregor was escorted off stage.

The pair will fight at UFC 202 on Saturday night.

The fight is a re-match from UFC 196 last March after Diaz stunned the world with a victory over McGregor.

Conor McGregor told a reporter, after the press conference row, that the exchange was just handbags and that he hoped it wouldn't distract from Saturday's fight.

The UFC have also released a behind the scenes look at the exchange (Click to 5:01):
