The people of Ireland didn't think twice before backing Colombia in beating their neighbours.
Following a score of 1-1, England were the eventual winners thanks to scoring 4 out of 5 penalties, sending them through to the quarter finals of the World Cup.
While most English fans spent the night dancing on the streets or celebrating the win, Irish Twitter had a field day in hoping the England team wouldn't progress any further.
People watching the match from their local pub reported unanimous support Irish spectators had for the Colombian side.
there’s men with derry accents in the pub shouting that they’re from colombia
