Danny O’Reilly, lead singer of The Coronas, played for North London Shamrocks in the London Senior Football Championship at Ruislip on Sunday.
Having claimed the London Intermediate title last year Shamrocks were hoping to test Tir Chonaill Gaels, but they were overpowered 2-12 to 0-4.
Former Templeogue Synge Street clubman O’Reilly, part of the Dublin minor panel in 2003, did impress for Shamrocks, who are in Championship action again next weekend against Neasden Gaels.
In last September's London Intermediate decider wing forward O'Reilly scored 1-2 in Shamrocks' victory over St Brendan's.
