IT seems Cork GAA fans are taking the last weekend’s double-knockout hard – by putting the team bus up for sale.
The Rebel County’s footballers were knocked out by Kildare on Saturday, while the hurlers suffered a resounding defeat by Galway on Sunday.
As if to rub salt into the wound, one fan decided to take a tongue-in-cheek approach to the crushing weekend by advertising the Cork team bus “free to a good home” on Done Deal.
The seller – described only as JBM – will no doubt bring fresh pain to Corkonians across the world with the description of the bus.
The bus, with “low mileage”, has “a good few dents and a boot full of broken dreams”, JBM writes.
The seller also took a swipe at former Cork All-Star hurler, Donal Óg Cusack – now a pundit on RTÉ’s The Sunday Game.
“I'll also throw in Donal Og's tear stained pie charts, along with his latest DVD, My top 10 greatest rants about Frank Murphy while wearing a dickie bow and twiddling a parker pen (dickie bow and pen not included),” JBM wrote.
