SLAUGHTNEIL booked an All Ireland Club final appearance against Corofin following an absorbing clash with Austin Stacks in Portlaoise.
Cormac O'Doherty's late point proved to be the winner for the Ulster champions, who conceded two penalties early on.
Pa McCarthy netted two goals one from a penalty and the other from the rebound as Kieran Donaghy was causing problems for Slaughtneil.
But Mickey Moran's team came thundering back as a Barry McGuigan goal gave them a lift. Four minutes remained when O'Doherty confidently drilled over the decisive score.
