SHANE LOWRY is looking forward to playing in the Horizon Irish Open at Mount Juliet Estate, from June 30 to July 3.
Lowry has been in excellent form this year finishing tied for third at The Masters and just narrowly missing out on a playoff at RBC Heritage
The 35-year-old will be joined by Séamus Power when the Horizon Irish Open takes place this summer.
“I can’t wait to get home and tee it up at the Horizon Irish Open,” said Lowry.
“Everyone knows how much I love this tournament and how much I enjoy playing in front of my home fans, and they’re always so supportive of me so I’m excited to play in front of them again.
“I’ve been really happy with my form over the last few months and my game feels in great shape heading into the summer, so I really hope I can bring my best stuff to Mount Juliet Estate and put myself into contention come Sunday.
“There appears to be a huge amount of momentum around this tournament at the moment and it’s shaping up to be another incredible week at a superb venue.”

On Monday it was revealed that The Horizon Irish Open will return to The K Club as part of a long-term deal with the DP World Tour, which will see the event played at the former Ryder Cup venue in 2023, 2025 and 2027.
Onr golfer who may not be attending this year is Rory McIlroy
The Holywood native hasn't given a definite answer about playing in Kilkenny, but will let people know his plans soon
Speaking back in January, he said:
"I haven't made my decision yet,"
"I know I'm playing a lot of golf in the States around that time of year, Memorial, Canada, US Open, Travelers."
"Yeah, we'll see, and I honestly haven't made that decision yet. But whenever I do, I'll certainly let you know."
