SHANE LONG is set to complete a move from West Brom to Hull City after the clubs agreed a fee which could rise to £7m.
The 26-year-old Ireland international had been on the verge of a move to Hull last September before the deal collapsed.
He is now currently holding talks with the Tigers with confirmation of the deal imminent.
Long scored 22 goals in 87 games for West Brom and has 18 months left on his deal.
West Brom sporting director Richard Garlick said: "Despite our best endeavours, Shane has declined to sign a new contract.
"We began talking to Shane about a new contract last spring and, during the ongoing negotiations, we made two offers which would have significantly increased his salary."
Long will compete for a place in the Hull side with newly-signed former Everton striker Nikica Jelavic.
