KILKENNY hurling legend was unimpressed as former England footballer Jamie Redknapp tried to get to grips with a hurley.
The five-time All-Ireland winner was putting Redknapp and former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff through their paces for Sky’s A League of Their Own.
Carey praised the cricketer, who looked a natural with a camán, but grew increasingly irritated with the ‘moany’ footballer.
“DJ, he’s a cricketer,” whined the former Liverpool midfielder, “it’s the same sort of thing.
“You’re hitting a bat, it’s the same thing as cricket!”
Carey looked annoyed by Redknapp’s assessment of one of Ireland’s national games but the footballer continued to moan.
However when ALOTO guest star Rob Beckett asked if they could do something Redknapp was good at, Carey burned the footballer in style with a mic-dropping put-down, below.

The show’s three stars were put through their paces by Carey before taking part in a penalty challenge at Nowlan Park in June.
They faced off against former Wexford goalkeeper Damien Fitzhenry during half-time in the Leinster SHC semi-final between Kilkenny and Wexford.
You can see how they get on in the next episode of A League of Their Own this Thursday at 9pm on Sky One.
Despite his moaning, Redknapp expressed his admiration for the sport afterwards.
“It’s tough, I’ve got to be honest,” he told Sky Sports.
“I’ve a lot of respect for the guys that actually play this game.
“DJ Carey has been teaching us, I know he’s a legend in this sport.
“This is a proper hard man’s sport.”
