MAN OF THE MATCH

Simon Zebo - Playing at full back he was electric with ball in hand. He played the final pass for three tries including an eye-catching assist for Earl’s try in the first half.

IRELAND PLAYER RATINGS

Simon Zebo - 9: Was heavily involved from start to finish and was unlucky not to score in the first half.

Tommy Bowe - 8: Scored two tries and was excellent in the air throughout. A much improved performance from his last outing

Jared Payne - 6:  Defensively solid as usual but needs to add a bit more bite in attack.

Darren Cave - 8: His direct running gave his outside backs space to run. Broke the gain-line twice when he moved to 13.

Keith Earls - 9: The Munster winger was outstanding. Looked sharp as a tack in everything he did and scored two tries.

Ian Madigan - 7: Kicked well from placed balls, ran and passed well but could have controlled the game better in the opening half.

Eoin Reddan - 8: Put in a delicate kick for Earl’s second try and was a bundle on energy throughout and dangerous off the maul and scrum.

Cian Healy - 6: Carried well throughout and got much needed competitive minutes under his belt. This game will hopefully stand to him later in the tournament.

Richardt Strauss - 7:  Threw well and got involved in open play.

Nathan White - 7: The Irish scrum was solid throughout.

Donnacha Ryan - 6: Worked hard at the breakdown and did well in the lineout.

Devin Toner - 8: Had a good game. Was excellent in the lineout and involved in the loose.

Jordi Murphy - 7: Was a successful option in the lineout and harried well throughout.

Chris Henry - 7: Put in a good shift but is still short of his best on the ground.

Jamie Heaslip - 7: Putting in a lot of work in the tight and at the breakdown.

Sean Cronin - 6: A quieter impact off the bench from last week.

Jack McGrath - 6: Worked hard in the closing 20 minutes.

Tadhg Furlong - 6: Picked up where Nathan White left off.

Paul O’Connell - 7:  Continued Irish dominance at the lineout and got his teammates to up the tempo.

Sean O’Brien - 6: Got stuck in but didn’t get much ball to carry.

Conor Murray - 6: Played most of the game on the left wing.

Paddy Jackson - 6: Confident with ball in hand but could have done better for the Romanian try.

Rob Kearney - 7: Scored a try before he limped off.
