FORMER Manchester United team-mates Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs had been trying to get one over each other throughout ITV’s Euro 2016 coverage, and it appears the Irishman had the last laugh.
Giggs kick-started the fun and games by suggesting Wales had an ‘easy’ group for their upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign following their exploits at the Euros, knowing full well they’ll come up against Keane’s Republic of Ireland.
After a few light-hearted exchanges across multiple shows, Keane chose the perfect moment to come out on top, producing a hilarious explanation for the influx of moths at the Stade de France on the night of the final.
“We thought Giggsy opened his wallet,” said the Cork native, much to the amusement of his co-panellists and those watching at home.
The Welshman was left scrambling for a witty reply, but he failed spectacularly as Keane sat Smugly, knowing he wouldn’t be beaten.
