RUNNERS Rhasidat Adeleke and Andrew Coscoran both set new Irish athletic records on Saturday.
Adeleke broke the Irish indoor 200m record she had set just three weeks ago, while Coscoran eclipsed Ray Flynn's 41-year-old 1500m record.
Dubliner Adeleke won the Big 12 Conference final in Lubbock, Texas with a time of 50.33 seconds.
That beat the 20-year-old's time of 50.45 set on February 5, which superceded Karen Shinkins' 21-year-old Irish national record of 51.58 set in February 2002.
University of Texas student Adeleke also holds the Irish outdoor 400m record, her time of 50.53 in August 2022 breaking her own record set three months earlier.

Meanwhile, Coscoran broke the Irish 1500m record at the World Tour Indoor Finals in Birmingham.
The 26-year-old Balbriggan native finished third with a time of 3.33.49, shaving 0.01 off Flynn’s record set at the Bislett Games in Oslo in 1982.
It also eclipsed the national indoor record of 3.35.40 set by Marcus O'Sullivan in 1988.
Also at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, Irishman Luke McCann finished one place behind Coscoran in a time of 3.34.76, which also bettered O’Sullivan’s 1988 time.
