THE REPUBLIC of Ireland Women's National Team will travel to Turkey for a training camp to aid their preparation for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup qualifier away to Georgia.
Vera Pauw's squad will spend nine days in Antalya and take on the Philippines in an international friendly game on Sunday, June 19th.
This is all part of the preparations for the Group A qualifier against Georgia on Monday, June 27th in Gori, which will kick off at 17:00 Irish Time.
Pauw will confirm the WNT squad on June 15th prior to departure for Turkey.
Ireland's three remaining games consist of Georgia this month ,and Finland and Slovakia in September.
Pauw's side also have a game in hand over their nearest rivals in Group A.
A win in their next two matches will earn them a play-off. Ireland can be confident as they beat Georgia 11-0 back in November and have already beaten Finland away from home 2-1 in October.
Speaking to RTÉ's Tony O'Donoghue after the 1-1 draw with Sweden back in April, Ireland captain Katie McCabe said that they had to focus on the 3 games left in the group
"It was a tough game, we knew it was going to be a battle.
They're not second best in the world for no reason, but we went into the game fully concentrating on ourselves and what we had to do. A point away against Sweden - not a bad result.
"It's another point on our way to qualifying for the World Cup. We've got three more massive games, so we're another step ahead. We continue on now and our focus will be on Georgia in June.
"We've got Finland, Slovakia away, and then obviously a big game against Georgia away as well. Step by step - we're fully focused on the job at hand so hopefully we'll get there"
