THE CHAMPION'S LEAGUE threw up a classic last night, and this would not be the first time you could say that.  

Over the year's we have seen epic comebacks, wondergoals, and everything else we love about elite football. 

Last night Real Madrid wrote their own chapter in the illustrious competitions after completing one of the most extraordinary comebacks in recent year's.

Manchester City led 2-0 on the night, and 5-3 on aggregate until the 90th minute of the second leg at the Bernabeu. 

City were cruising until substitute Rodrygo scored twice in 90 seconds to bring the tie to extra time.  

Benzema scored the penalty in the first few moments of extra time to complete a comeback for the ages. 

The football world reacted to a sensational night that will live long in the memory for every football fan that got to witness it. 

BBC pundit Gary Lineker shared many people's sentiments and said: 'Unbe-fucking-lieveable'-when Madrid made it 2-1. 

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand said: "OHMYYYYYYYYYYYY WOWOWOWOW and followed that up with: "What am I witnessing!!!! 

Toni Kroos, who played in the game shared an Instagram post saying: "This team is a f*cking joke," 

Many people also took to Twitter to mock Manchester City's crumbling in another Champion's League semi-final. 

One fan said: 'Incredible Stuff!!!! City bottle it and another said Spartak Moscow's official account said: 'Can confirm that we have the same amount of UCL trophies as Manchester City. 

Madrid have had to comeback against Chelsea, Paris saint Germain and Manchester City and will now face Liverpool in Paris on the 28th of May in a bid Real to win their 14th European Cup. 

Liverpool beat Villarreal on Tuesday and were 2-0 down at halftime, before winning the tie 3-2 on the night.
