PREVIEW | Ireland WNT v Georgia WNT

The Ireland Women’s National Team welcome Georgia to Tallaght Stadium on Tuesday night for their European qualifying play-off second-leg

Eileen Gleeson’s team secured a 6-0 victory in the First Leg in Tbilisi last Friday and knows that they must win this tie in order to advance to Round 2 to face either Cmyru or Slovakia.

There are currently 94 places between Ireland (24) and Georgia (118) in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings.

This will also be the 33rd game for Ireland WNT and the second time to host Georgia—the last visit in 2021 resulting in a record victory.

Goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan returns to the squad after missing the first leg through suspension, replacing Katie Keane, who has linked up with the WU19s in Belgium.

Referee Katalin Kulcsár has officiated in two previous WNT games—a 2-1 EURO 2013 Qualifier loss away to Scotland in 2012 and the 3-0 loss at home to Sweden in the EURO 2025 Qualifiers earlier this year.

All tickets are officially sold out for this game, with supporters encouraged to use their tickets to help add to the atmosphere supporting the home team.
