Champions Manchester City will take on newly promoted Burnley away from home. Vincent Kompany and his former manager, Pep Guardiola, will meet for the first time on the touchline. That game will kick off the season and is scheduled for Friday, August 12.
City's neighbors, Manchester United, will take on Wolves at home. That game will take place on Monday, August 14. Erik ten Hag will be looking to improve on his third-placed finish from last season.
The tie of the weekend is sure to be Liverpool versus Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino's side will welcome Klopp's Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 13. Both teams will be looking to improve on their dreadful campaigns in the previous season.

Title hopefuls Arsenal will look to kickstart their title charge once again with an opening game at home against Nottingham Forest in Saturday's lunchtime game. Arsenal led the league by 8 points last year but were well beaten by Manchester City in the end.
New Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou's first game in charge of Tottenham will be away to Brentford at 2 pm on Sunday. Spurs finished 8th last year after sacking Antonio Conte.
For the other two newly promoted sides, Luton Town's inaugural Premier League match will present them with a challenging away fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion, while Sheffield United will host Crystal Palace at home.
