‘He didn’t deserve this’ - Khabib Nurmagomedov slams Conor McGregor amid rematch talk

KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV has launched a stinging attack on Conor McGregor as talk of a potential rematch between the two ramps up.

The Russian made short work of the Notorious when the two locked horns at UFC 229.

Nurmagomedov dominated the content from start to finish, claiming victory within just three rounds after McGregor tapped out of the fight.

Despite the nature of his defeat, the Irishman was quick to call for a rematch in the immediate aftermath of the match-up.

And while both fighters are facing an uncertain future after being handed indefinite suspensions for their roles in the post-fight brawl that ensued, Nurmagomedov appears happy to talk about a possible reunion.

It’s not all good news for McGregor though with the Russian appearing to distance himself from talk of a rematch.

“We’ll see,” Nurmagomedov told Nine News Sydney. “He didn’t deserve this.

“Rematch for what? Before the last fight, he talk too. But when we go to the inside of the cage, he just, he don’t do nothing.”

Despite slamming McGregor’s performance, the Russian remains open to fighting any and all comes.

“Anyone,” the undefeated UFC star said when asked who he would like to face next..

“Anyone. We have to wait for court.”
