The nominees for the 33rd FAI International Awards have been confirmed ahead of a ceremony on Tuesday, June 20th, in The Round Room at The Mansion House.
A number of recognizable faces have been nominated for various awards.
Wolves' Nathan Collins has been nominated for the Men's Player of the Year, alongside Josh Cullen and Jayson Molumby.
Collins is also in contention for the Goal of the Year award. His run against Ukraine will compete against Amber Barrett's World Cup qualifying goal and Obafemi's wonder strike against Scotland.
On the Women's side, Courtney Brosnan, Katie McCabe, and Louise Quinn are in the running for the Women's Player of the Year.
There are also awards for some of Ireland's younger stars. Brighton and Ireland star Evan Ferguson is up for the Young Men's Player of the Year award, along with Dara O'Shea and Ireland forward Michael Obafemi.
The performances taken into account are from June 2022 to June 2023, while the SSE Airtricity League Player of the Year considers the entirety of the 2022 season.
A jury from Soccer Writers' Ireland helped with the selection of certain categories to honor those who excelled over the previous year.
The inductees to the FAI Hall of Fame and the Special Merit recipient will be announced prior to the ceremony.
