'Mystic Mac' - Conor McGregor predicts round in which he'll beat Khabib Nurmagomedov in fiery New York press conference

UFC fighter Conor McGregor was back to his usual tricks in New York last night as he faced off against upcoming opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Crumlin born fighter will return to the Octagon on October 6 for the first time in two years, and last night at a press conference in Madison Square Garden, he shared his prediction on how the bout with his Russian opponent will play out.

Dressed in a purple checked suit, McGregor shouted insults and profanities at his opponent while sipping on a glass of his newly released Irish whiskey, Proper Twelve.

Khabib kept his resolve and refused to react to the Irishman’s taunts.

Carrying both of his belts from the lightweight and featherweight divisions of the UFC, McGregor broke into a bit of Gaeilge at one point, exclaiming: “An bhfuil cead agam dul go dti an leithreas? You know what that means? Can I take a s***e on the bus!”

The jibe was a reference to the altercation at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Arena earlier this year when McGregor threw a trolley through the window of a bus carrying Khabib and numerous other UFC fighters.

McGregor’s actions earned him a couple of trips to court, where he narrowly avoided jail but was ordered to attend anger management.

Earlier, Conor claimed Khabib “would be dead” he “would be in a cell” if he stepped off the bus that day.

“I just thank the Lord Jesus Christ that that man did not have the balls to step off the bus or the bus door opened,” he said.

“Because if that door had opened he’d be dead and I’d be in a cell.”

Talking about his new business venture, McGregor added: "This is called prize fighting, but thankfully I am such a crafty individual with my other entities and my entire game as a whole.

"I am coming to take over the whiskey business. This is a true beast I have in my possession."

UFC 229 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on October 6.
