Munster will take on an All-Black XV this weekend at Thomond Park, and anticipation is growing for the game.

The Irish province is the only Irish side in URC action this weekend and will provide a stern test for the makeshift New Zealand team in Limerick.

Team News

Munster has selected a back three of Mike Haley, Shay McCarthy, and Diarmuid Kilgallen. Tom Farrell and Rory Scannell start in the centre, while Billy Burns and Ethan Coughlan make up the halfbacks.

In the front row, John Ryan, David Barron, and Stephen Archer will start. Fineen Wycherley and Tom Ahern provide engine cover. Peter O'Mahony, John Hodnett, and Gavin Coombes complete the back row.

Niall Scannell and academy props Kieran Ryan and Ronan Foxe provide backup in the front row. Academy duo O’Connell and Ruadhán Quinn complete the forward cover.

Paddy Patterson, Tony Butler, and academy back-three player Ben O’Connor are the backline replacements. Patterson is in line for his first appearance since New Year’s Day as he returns from a long-term knee injury, while O’Connor is set for his first appearance of the season.
