Munster ring changes for South Africa trip

Munster has named their team for Saturday’s URC round five clash against the DHL Stormers in Cape Town. Head coach Graham Rowntree has selected the side for the South Africa trip.

Mike Haley, Calvin Nash, and Shane Daly start in the back three, with Tom Farrell and Alex Nankivell in midfield. Jack Crowley and Conor Murray form the halfback partnership.

In the front row, Jeremy Loughman, Niall Scannell, and John Ryan start. Jean Kleyn and Tadhg Beirne are in the second row, while Tom Ahern, Alex Kendellen, and Jack O’Donoghue complete the back row.

Academy players Kieran Ryan and Ruadhán Quinn are named among the replacements, with Billy Burns also included following his return from a shoulder injury.

Hooker Eoghan Clarke, Ryan, and Stephen Archer provide front-row cover, with Clarke in line for his first appearance of the season. Fineen Wycherley and Quinn complete the forward options.

Ethan Coughlan, Burns, and Seán O’Brien are the backline replacements. Coughlan is set for his first Munster appearance of the season, having toured with Emerging Ireland.

The game kicks off at 5 p.m. Irish time/6 p.m. local time.
