THE IRISH Independent TD has left a few people sniggering thanks to his tweet of himself and two of the Irish rugby players.
Shane Ross was just one of many people delighted to meet the new Six Nations champs and sadly on this occasion, it appears the excitement perhaps got too much for him.
The Independent TD for Rathdown in County Dublin shared a photo of himself and two players of the winning team, Johnny Sexton and Rob Kearney.
However, what Mr Ross tweeted was a little different.
In the caption along with the photo, the title reads "Congratulations and welcome home this evening to superstars Johnny Sexton and Dave Kearney".
Dave Kearney being Rob's little brother who also plays rugby.

Wow, we're so lucky to have @Shane_RossTD as our Minister for Sport. In fairness, he was the man who went to Rio to sort out Pat Hickey in 2016. Now he's sorting out the Kearney's in the same knowledgeable fashion 😁😁😁

Rob took it on the chin and replied with a quick-witted reply.
You’re welcome Leo 😉
