Fulham are rumoured to be interested in asking Mick McCarthy to spearhead a Sky Bet Championship promotion push next season.
It is believed that Fulham’s billionaire owner Shahid Khan has been impressed by McCarthy’s work with a limited budget at Ipswich Town.
Former Republic of Ireland boss McCarthy has previously guided Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers into the Premier League.
Currently managed by Kit Symons Fulham have endured a disappointing Championship campaign and are eight points clear of the relegation zone.
