Having triumphed in four Ryder Cup matches out of six appearances, McIlroy is determined to contribute to Europe's efforts in reclaiming the cup, which the United States won at Whistling Straits two years ago.
Since his debut in 2010, McIlroy has engaged in 28 matches, securing victory in 12, drawing four, and experiencing defeat in 12, amounting to a total of 14 points.
Ranked third in the world, Jon Rahm made a successful debut in the Ryder Cup in 2018 in Paris. Over his eight matches, Rahm has secured victory in four, suffered three losses, and achieved a tie in one, accumulating a total of 4.5 points.
Rahm's 2023 performance has been notably impressive. The pinnacle of his achievement was claiming his second major title at The Masters in April, clinching victory with a final round score of 69 strokes on Sunday, concluding with a four-stroke lead.
