MAYO GAA have been sent their condolences and sympathies to the family of the late Brian Mullin and Sharon Ryan after their tragic passing over the weekend.
The pair lost their lives on Sunday night when a car they were travelling in collided with a van in the Patrickswell area of Limerick.
Brian is the brother of Mayo football star Oisin Mullin, a two-time Young Footballer of the Year.
A tweet from Mayo GAA was issued today offering condolences to the families.
Mayo county board chairman Seamus Tuohy also commented: “We are all in shock and in mourning after hearing this terrible news. The thoughts of every GAA person not just in Mayo but in the country go out to the Mullin and Ryan families. It is so sad, and we are lost for words.”

Kilmaine GAA, the home club of the Mullin family also posted on its Facebook page yesterday to offer its thoughts and prayers to Mullin and Ryan families..
In an appeal on Monday, a garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
“Any road users who were traveling in the area and who may have camera (including dash cam) footage is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
