Masters champion Scottie Scheffler will play at JP McManus Pro-Am field at Adare Manor in July

THE JP McManus Pro-Am field at Adare Manor will welcome a host of golf stars this summer and today news has emerged that Masters and world no 1 Scottie Scheffler will also attend the Limerick event.

Scheffler became the Masters champion last April by defeating Rory McIlroy by three strokes on the final day in Augusta.

Scheffler will join the likes of Jordan Spieth, John Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Leona Maguire in Adare for the weekend of July 4-5.

The fund-raising event which supports charitable organisations throughout the Mid-West of Ireland will welcome 19 of the 24 competitors from last year’s Ryder Cup and 9 of the current top 11 players from the world golf rankings will also appear at the McManus Pro-Am.

The event has raised over €140 million for charitable organizations in the Midwest region of Ireland since its debut in 1990.

Tournament host, Mr. JP McManus said: “It’s incredible to see how many players from across the world are coming to play in the Pro-Am and I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of them for offering up their time to help us raise money for charitable organizations in need.

"As always, this event would be nothing without the hundreds of volunteers who help us run it smoothly, so I also extend a sincere thank you to them."

“Finally, I would urge anybody holding a ticket cap who is planning to drive to the event to please visit our website (www.jp mcmanus pro am.com) and pre-book either paid on-site parking, or the free park and ride from Limerick Racecourse.”
