"I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me, said Ronaldo about Ten Hag n a clip released online

“If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”

He also said: "I don’t know why he criticises me so badly . . . probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at high level" - he said about Wayne Rooney

Then he chuckled and added: “I’m not going to say that I’m looking better than him. Which is true . . . ”

The full interview is set to be released this week, where Ronaldo sat down for 90 minutes with Morgan to tell his side of the story.

Now Manchester United have released a statement claiming that they will act when the full facts have been released

The statement read: "Manchester United notes the media coverage regarding an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo."

"The club will consider its response after the full facts have been established."

"Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans."

This comes after Manchester United won 2-1 against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

United were set to draw the game, but 18-year-old Alejandro Garnacho slotted past Bernd Leno in the last minute to secure all three points in London.

United will not play again until the World Cup final finishes up on the 18th of December.
