Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag expects Marcus Rashford to return 'quickly' from the injury he picked up in the 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday.
Rashford has been instrumental for United this season, scoring 28 goals for his club side.
However, the England forward had to leave the pitch on Saturday because of an injury.
United play Sevilla in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday but will have to do so without the talented forward.
He is also a doubt for the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton on 23 April.
A club statement from today read: "Marcus Rashford will be unavailable for Thursday's UEFA Europa League quarter-final game against Sevilla because of a muscle injury," a club statement read.
"The forward was withdrawn in the 80th minute of Saturday's 2-0 Premier League win over Everton at Old Trafford and immediately headed to the dressing room for treatment.
"Subsequent assessment of the injury suggested that Marcus will be unavailable for a few games, but is expected to be back for the season run-in.
"The England international's absence is a disappointment given his red-hot form this season, with 28 goals in all competitions.
"But there will also be relief about the prospect of his return for important games in the final weeks of the season."
Ten Hag added further clarity on the situation on the Rashford issue in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
"It's a setback and he's disappointed, but he's not totally broke because he will return quickly. He's started his rehab and that helps to get back soon," said the United boss.
United do have other options on their roster though. Anthony Martial scored the second goal in the win over Everton, but there are major concerns over his fitness.
The 27-year-old has claimed seven goals in 17 appearances for United this term but Martial has not completed 90 minutes in the Premier League since January 2021.
Ten Hag has claimed that they won't rush Martial back into action, but did concede that the Frenchman could start against Sevilla at Old Trafford tomorrow.
"We don't have to force things," Ten Hag added
"We are careful, of course. The front line against Everton worked really well. I think it was continuity, we were a threat, was difficult to defend for the opponent.
"I think he is ready to start the game, but as I said, the front line did very well against Brentford did really well and we decided to go with that against Everton and did really well.
"The advantage was we could bring Martial back slowly, in the team, giving him minutes, get him used to a game at the highest level and to highest intensity but I think already against Everton he was ready to start the game."
United's game starts at 8pm and can be seen on BT Sport.
