AUSTRALIAN BORN Mack Hansen, who has excelled for Connacht this year has been called up to the Irish squad for Ireland's upcoming test against Japan at the Aviva Stadium.
Hansen's mother, who comes from Cork, has impressed at Connacht after coming in from Australia and Brumbies this year. He scored a brilliant solo try on his home debut against the bulls and scored another two in the provinces 36-11 win over Ulster at the Aviva last week
He has been operating at wing this season but can also play at full-back.

An IRFU bulletin also stated that,
“Robbie Henshaw will continue his rehab programme under the direction of the Ireland medical team”, while adding: “Thomas Ahern (Munster) and Jamie Osbourne (Leinster) have returned to their respective provinces having trained with the squad last week.”
Ireland will follow up the Japan game with a mouth-watering test against New Zealand. This is sold out while tickets remain available for both the Japan game and the concluding match against Argentina on Sunday November 21st.
This is the tenth meeting between Japan and Ireland. Ireland have won eight of the previous contests, Japan won 19-12 victory in Shizuoka at the Rugby World Cup.
