Lucky London Irishman scoops €155,000 home in Ireland in GAA club raffle

THERE was a big British winner in a GAA club's eagerly anticipated draw to win a house in Ireland.

The €155,000 house in Rann Mór Meadow, Letterkenny, Co. donegal was won by London-based Justin Brett who won after he bought a ticket for St Eunan GAA club’s draw online.

The Sligo native's name was drawn randomly from a prize draw at the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny on Easter Sunday night.

Tickets were €100 each and competition was fierce as hundreds entered the draw.

Mr Brett's prize was a semi-detached three-bedroom house overlooking St Eunan GAA’s home ground O’Donnell Park.

St Eunan's said the win would be lifechanging for Mr Brett who now hopes to move home.

Clare O’Donnell, who won the last house St Eunan’s raffled in 2008, drew the winning ticket with Charlie Collins of Donegal Sport Hub the MC for the night.

There were also nine other great prizes including fuel vouchers from both Tinney’s and Top Oil, a €1,000 voucher for Evolve Menswear, a family membership for one-year to the Mount Errigal Hotel Gym, a 50” LED TV from Ben Sweeney’s, a luxury package to Shandon Hotel & Spa and holidays courtesy of Liberty Travel and Seamus MacRory.
