London Irish's Henry Arundell has been selected as part of Eddie Jones's 36-strong England training squad

LONDON IRISH'S TEENAGE sensation Henry Arundell has been selected as part of Eddie Jones's 36-strong England training squad to prepare for July's Test series against Australia.

The pacy fullback made his debut in February and has amassed 11 tries in 15 matches for Irish and England Under-20s this season.

One of these was a full-length sprint past numerous defenders in the 19-18 European Challenge Cup quarter-final defeat at Toulon that went viral.

Speaking on the try at the time London Irish head coach Les kiss said: We weren’t surprised when that happened, we know what’s possible with him.

Although Arundell played for England’s U20s in this year’s Six Nations, the 19-year-old is qualified to play for England, Wales, and Scotland at a senior level.

Jones has attempted to step ahead of the que by selecting the young talent first.

England had a poor Six Nations campaign and will now train in London as they begin preparations for a schedule that also includes next month’s home game against the Barbarians on June 19.

Speaking to rugby publication Rugby Pass, Irish's Director of Rugby Declan Kidney said Jones has already been to see Arundell in southwest London

"Eddie was over with the club last week and we went through a number of the players that we had and that is the comment that I am making, the fact that we had the English coach coming to London Irish to discuss a number of our players is a good thing for the club", he said last Friday.

"Henry was one of them and we gave him out insights to that but Eddie is a strong enough person to make up his own mind as to what is the best for Henry’s development,”

Tonight, back on the club scene London Irish face Worcester Warriors to the Brentford Community Stadium to contest the Premiership Rugby Cup final

Arundell starts at 15 for the side and will no doubt want to put on a show for Eddie Jones when the game gets going at 7.45pm
