London Irish sign Wasps fly-half Andy Goode

FIVE-time Aviva Premiership winner Andy Goode will join London Irish from the start of next season.

The 34-year-old is currently with Wasps in his hometown, Coventry, and has also enjoyed spells with Leicester Tigers, Saracens, Worcester Warriors, Brive and South African side Sharks.

In addition to his five Premiership medals, the fly-half has also won two Heineken Cups and has represented England 17 times, scoring 107 points.

London Irish Operations Director Bob Casey has hailed Goode ahead of his move, describing him as a “leader” and “one of the best fly-halves in the Premiership.”

Goode himself says he is excited about the prospect of lining up at the Madejski Stadium from next season.

“I am really looking forward to joining London Irish next season. They are a family Club heading in a really promising direction. The facilities are very impressive and having spoken to the management and coaching staff it is a Club I am really excited to be joining,” he said.
