Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and players met Sean Cox last night at Anfield

MEATH MAN SEAN COX WAS WELCOMED back to Anfield last night by Liverpool's current staff and players.

The Merseyside club won 2-0 against Spainish side Villarreal in the first leg of the semi-final.

Cox is a huge Liverpool fan and is known to many at Liverpool for suffering a serious brain injury before Liverpool's Champions League tie against Roma back in 2018.

The Liverpool fan got to meet the likes of Jurgen Klopp star defender Virjil van Dijk and former Liverpool player Ian Rush 

Rush posted on social media of the interaction

"Solid win @LFC and delighted to see Sean and Martina Cox at Anfield #YNWA #LIVVCF"

Lots of people wished Cox well under the post

The “red” carpet was rolled out for Sean and Martina by many of his LFC heroes, with Jürgen Klopp, Kenny Dalglish and Virgil van Dijk all dropping by to welcome Sean back to his happy place ❤️🤍.
