Liverpool fan wants to raise £7.5m to sack Brendan Rodgers

LIVERPOOL manager Brendan Rodgers is having a hard time of it recently.

The Northern Irishman has been heading up the Reds since 2012 and has so far failed to emulate the success of his predecessors.

Now, one Irish Liverpool fan is none too pleased with Rodgers' managerial tactics and has decided to take matters into his own hands.

Michael Gavin set up a GoFundMe page to raise €10million (£7.5m) - the rumoured amount required to get Brendan Rodgers out of his managerial chair.

Setting up the page after Liverpool's 3-1 defeat to old rivals Manchester United on Sunday, Michael wrote:

Brendan Rodgers' time is up. There’s not much more of this insipid football anyone can take, from the horrific signings to the tired cliches used in the media week in, week out. Enough is enough.

So far, the page has managed to raise €400 of the required amount - and if the remaining €9,999,600 is raised, the Antrim native could be out on his ear.
