IRISH TV will broadcast a live preview show on the London Senior Football Championship Final between Tír Chonaill Gaels and St Kiernans.
The programme will be aired live from The Shanakee Pub in Harrow on November 28, the day before the final, and will feature analysis and interviews with ‘high-profile’ guests, including the chairmen of both clubs.
It will be presented by Brendan Hennessy between 8-10pm and will include debate, discussions and live entertainment from acts from across the Irish community in Britain.
Speaking ahead of the broadcast, the show’s producer Martin O’Reilly said: “The ethos of Irish TV has always been to reach out to the Irish Diaspora so we’re delighted to bring this live production to the heart of the vibrant Irish community in London.”
Proprietor of The Shanakee Pub, Billy Joyce, commented on his delight to play host to the broadcast: “I’m thrilled this special live show is being broadcast from my pub. I look forward to welcoming all the Irish TV crew to The Shanakee Pub and enjoy what is sure to be a great night with great entertainment.”
Irish TV, who will also be giving out prizes on the night, will then screen a deferred broadcast of the final itself, which takes place at the Irish TV Grounds in Ruislip on November 29, on Sunday evening.
